What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout office, lab, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance, lighting, and access control issues. Monitor entry points and verify identification, visitor authorizations, and delivery documentation; assist with badge issuance and check-in processes as required by post orders. Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate notifications to site leadership and public responders per site procedures. Complete detailed reports on patrols, incidents, and policy violations; use required systems to document observations, preserve chain of custody for found property, and support follow-up actions. Minimum Requirements: Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
