As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and vehicle logs. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, respond to questions with a customer-service mindset, and communicate clearly with site teams and Allied Universal leadership. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Control access at entry points by checking identification, verifying visitor and contractor authorization, issuing temporary credentials when required, and maintaining access logs. Monitor inbound and outbound traffic such as employees, visitors, carriers, and deliveries, and report irregularities to site leadership according to post orders. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting dispatch of medical, fire, and/or law enforcement services when directed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, yard, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. A guard card/license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
