What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Screen entrants at designated access points by checking identification and/or credentials, managing visitor logs, and directing authorized visitors to the proper areas. Conduct security-related screening of persons and belongings using approved methods and equipment, including monitoring for prohibited items and escalating concerns through the chain of command. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and requesting assistance from site contacts and/or emergency services as needed. Complete timely documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and screening activity records, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and oncoming personnel. Minimum Requirements: Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent and provide proof of diploma or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. X-Ray screening experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
