About the role We are looking for Relief Security Officers to work at Homes Victoria sites spread across Melbourne. Duties include but are not limited to: Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances Provide assistance to residents and visitors in a courteous and professional manner. Enforce property rules and regulations to maintain order. Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV and alarm systems. Conduct regular inspections and write reports to ensure security and safety equipment is functioning properly. Skills & Experience: Full Australian working rights Valid Security Licence and First Aid and CPR Certificate II in Security Operations (Or higher) Working with children check (or willing to apply for one) 24*7 Availability Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently and prior experience working in a challenging environment Strong understanding of security protocols and procedures. Excellent observational and surveillance skills. Good communication skills and the ability to report incidents clearly and accurately. Physical stamina and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods. Responsibilities
