Cyber Security Analyst – Incident Response & Threat Hunting

Join a critical cyber operations environment protecting a large-scale global ICT network from malicious actors. This Senior Cyber Analyst contract is ideal for an experienced cyber professional with strong incident response, security monitoring, log analysis and threat hunting experience.

Location: ACT

Contract Duration: 12 months, possible 2 x 12 month extensions

Security Clearance Requirement: Current NV2 clearance required

Closing Date: 10.00AM, Tuesday, 04 August 2026

Essential Tasks:

• Respond to, investigate and triage cyber security alerts.
• Analyse security events and logs to identify anomalous activity.
• Assist with incident response, remediation and threat hunt activities.
• Collaborate with threat intelligence teams to operationalise relevant intel.

Key Criteria:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Cyber Security Analyst or equivalent.
• Experience performing incident response activities.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to share knowledge effectively.
• Well-developed writing skills and experience maintaining technical documentation.
