Description * This position is contingent upon a future opening with Gunnison. Salary: $155,000-$175,000 Work location: Hybrid, 2-3 days per week on-site in Alexandria, VA. The first 30 days of work will be full-time on-site. The Security Operations Lead directs SOC operations and cybersecurity monitoring across the enterprise, ensuring threat detection, response, and CDM implementation. This role leads teams managing EDR, SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability scanning, analytics tuning, and deployment of security technologies. Responsibilities include establishing baselines, optimizing detections, improving security posture, and ensuring data protection throughout the lifecycle. Requirements US Citizenship required Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field 10+ years in security operations and penetration testing 5+ years managing/directing SOC functions Expertise implementing CDM phases and deploying enterprise security tools Certifications: CISSP-ISSMP, CISSP-ISSAP (mandatory); Certified Network Security Engineer (CNSE, preferred) Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. The salary range for this position depends upon multiple factors including location, the individual's knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, and contract-specific budget constraints and organizational requirements.
