**Please note - this role requires a Minimum of 5 years of security, public safety, management, or law enforcement work experience AND a Minimum of 2 years of security/law enforcement Supervisory experience. The Security Operations Manager manages the daily operations of VCUHS’s Security Department. This position supervises and directs subordinate Security Supervisors, Assistant Security Supervisors and Security Officers. Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/A Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: N/A Experience REQUIRED: Minimum of five (5) years of security, public safety, management, or law enforcement work experience. Minimum of two (2) years of security/law enforcement supervisory experience. Experience PREFERRED: Previous work experience as a sworn law enforcement officer. Seven (7) years of security or law enforcement work experience. Five (5) years of security/law enforcement supervisory experience. Education/training REQUIRED: Associate degree from an accredited program, equivalent relevant experience, or a combination of relevant experience and education. Education/training PREFERRED: Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field Independent action(s) required: Responsible for managing the daily operations of the Security Department. Supervisory responsibilities: Supervises and manages assigned security officers/employees. Additional position requirements: Rotating days off. Must be able to work weekends and off-shifts as needed.
