POSITION OVERVIEW

The Security Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the physical security operations across Kiewit Real Estate managed facilities and assets. This role ensures the development and implementation of comprehensive security policies, procedures, and standards to safeguard Kiewit’s personnel, property, and infrastructure. The Security Operations Manager serves as the primary liaison for internal stakeholders, external security vendors, and government agencies. This position manages the Kiewit Security Operations Center, security vendor partners, incident response protocols, and drives continuous improvement in security practices. This position requires a strategic mindset, operational expertise, and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives that support a safe and secure working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-10 years’ experience in security activities
  • 5 years of Supervisory experience

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of the Kiewit Security Operations Center, including incident response, vendor and personnel oversight, KPI tracking, and program rollouts.
  • Assist with security systems projects (installations, upgrades, conversions), standardize systems with the Security Technology Lead, and provide KSOC approval of new site designs.
  • Manage Kiewit Tier 1 security vendor relationships.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with internal and government regulations.
  • Partner with Real Estate, Legal, Safety, and district staff to align security strategies with business goals and mitigate risks.
  • Serve as liaison with law enforcement, fire departments, and government agencies.
  • Represent Kiewit Security at internal meetings, industry conferences, and vendor briefings; communicate security posture and updates to stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage security budgets, review financial reports, and oversee procurement of security-related supplies and technology.
  • Review and prepare reports, proposals, and documentation related to investigations, losses, and strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct audits, assessments, and physical inspections to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Investigate and resolve security breaches, threats, and incidents; manage investigation programs and documentation.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate security activities to safeguard employees, guests, and company property, including special and high-risk events.
