JOB OVERVIEW

We have a great opportunity for a Security Operations Manager to join the company.
The Security Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day manning, safety, and security of all the sites; they must meet or exceed the budget and service delivery requirements by ensuring all officers on site fully understand and comply with all aspects of client and company policies. You will use highly effective coaching and performance management skills to deliver an industry-leading retail security team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in a security management role or similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of surveillance systems, including CCTV technology.
  • Valid SIA license
  • Full 5 year checkable work history
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • A valid driver’s licence may be required for travel between sites.

    Job Types: Full-time, Zero hours contract
    Pay: £12.25-£14.50 per hour
    Expected hours: 20 – 60 per week

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Manage and supervise the security team, ensuring effective performance and adherence to protocols.
  • Oversee the operation of surveillance systems, including CCTV, to monitor premises and detect suspicious activities.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
  • Monitoring and ensuring the performance of security officers working on sites
  • Ensure that staff comply with Health and Safety requirements in all aspects of their work
  • Maintain accurate and up to date Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Monitor staff performance and appraise staff in line with company policy
  • Ensuring team is constantly trained to meet leading industry and client practices.
  • Ensure that all staff comply with Health and Safety requirements
  • Continue to bring innovation and adopt different ways of working
  • Prepare reports on security operations for management review.
  • Provide effective leadership to ensure the development and encouragement of all staff within the Security department
  • Oversee all departmental rosters including leave and sickness, to always ensure effective management presence
