Job Description As a Security Professional - Access Badge Patrol in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more . As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure atmosphere by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and managing badge access. Your presence and attention to detail help to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment for all staff and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, respond to alarms, and address any concerns promptly, all while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.40 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PMTue06:00 AM - 02:00 PMThur02:00 PM - 10:00 PMFri06:00 AM - 02:00 PMSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You’ll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Monitor and control access to the location by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises. Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related matters. Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with entry and exit processes. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols of the business and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity. Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or unusual activities according to established protocols. Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure environment in a tech, media, and telecom location. Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate, following site protocols and guidance from Allied Universal. What We’re Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: Must have 2 or more years of security-related experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred. Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred. Experience with alarm panels is preferred. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
