Job Description As a Security Professional - Mall Roving Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations to help create a secure and welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon07:00 AM - 03:00 PMTue07:00 AM - 03:00 PMWed07:00 AM - 03:00 PMThur07:00 AM - 03:00 PMSun07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You’ll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any irregularities. Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. Document and report security-related incidents or unusual activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols. Assist with crowd management and help to deter theft or disturbances within the retail environment. Work collaboratively with store management and local law enforcement as directed and/or required by site protocols. What We’re Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: A valid state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. A valid Guard Card is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred. Experience in loss prevention is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
