Job Description Now Interviewing for Part Time Security Officers! Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour Preferred Skills: Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds Requirements: 1 year Security Experience, Computer Literacy Job Schedule: DayTimeMon07:00 AM - 03:00 PMTue07:00 AM - 03:00 PMWed07:00 AM - 03:00 PMThur07:00 AM - 03:00 PMFri07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and support entry and exit procedures in accordance with site protocols and government location requirements. Assist with incident reports, communication with site contacts and/or first responders, and other assigned duties that support daily operations and security-related awareness. Minimum Requirements: Have 1 or more years of security-related experience. Be 21 or more years of age. At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred. Have access control or badge experience preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
