POSITION OVERVIEW

This role will be responsible for implementing and overseeing security programs on DNNP. The Security Program Lead will manage a team of security professionals and work in collaboration with different departments within the organization to ensure the team is in compliance with the organization and project’s security standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as Security Manager
  • Valid Ontario Security/Guard License is preferred
  • Previous security experience in industrial site (Oil & gas, Chemical, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of security principles and practices.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working on a construction site is considered an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Valid Driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions. #LI-IS1

Responsibilities
  • Define, develop, and create security programs and strategies that align with the project’s standards.
  • Identify security risks and gaps on the project, and implement the processes needed to eliminate them.
  • Oversee the implementation of security policies and procedures to ensure its validation and effectiveness.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of security professionals on security processes and culture.
  • Manage incident reporting and response by communicating effectively with the team and handling the necessary documentation.
  • Support with any auditing processes by preparing the necessary security documentation and ensuring it’s in compliance with the appropriate legal legislations and regulations.
  • Continuous assessing of the exiting security program and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Verify on site activities and security requirements through regular audits (worker under exemption, visitor, etc.)
  • Work with different stakeholders, external partners, and other departments.
  • Other tasks as needed.
