Booking Holdings is searching for a highly experienced Security Program Manager with a strong background in security and compliance. We’re seeking a self-starter and highly motivated Technical Program Manager to lead and implement strategic security initiatives. The ideal candidate brings a proactive mindset, is comfortable navigating ambiguity, and has the drive to identify opportunities, shape programs, and deliver results across teams. A broad understanding of security and a passion for making things happen are essential to succeed in this role. This individual will be responsible for spearheading programs designed to elevate service and infrastructure security, guarantee adherence to regulatory standards, and prioritize customer safety.

Responsibilities

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL GET TO:

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of program management fundamentals and demonstrate the ability to effectively translate between business and technical disciplines. They will be adept at leading large-scale, cross-organizational security and technical projects and collaborating closely with security, risk, audit, and engineering teams.
Knowledge of the following is required: security-related standards and regulations, (agile) program management. Knowledge of some of the following domains is highly desirable: network infrastructure and Zero Trust design, risk management, cybersecurity operations, GenAI, threat management, incident management, and security product development.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Deliver key security programs from inception to business-as-usual, with stakeholders across multiple teams, product groups, and business units.
  • Ensure a realistic and objective delivery plan, based on an end-to-end technical solution, is in place, which is based on data and appropriate delivery metrics
  • Coordinate the implementation of security improvements across multiple teams with different approaches and strategic priorities.
  • Stakeholder and communication management, including working closely with Engineering, Product, Security, Legal, and Compliance to deliver these critical programs.
  • Engage with regional business and technical stakeholders to identify security needs, and maintain a broad understanding of the regulatory landscape impacting Booking Holdings
  • Work with a global cross-functional team of security engineers, product owners, and risk teams to identify security and compliance gaps and build roadmaps to address issues.
  • Own delivery governance: provide predictable, proactive reporting tailored to the appropriate audience (Senior LT, Engineering Teams, and stakeholders) so that service and business owners have clear visibility on initiatives.
  • Proactively identify ways to improve processes and capabilities to ensure we are compliant, efficient, and respond to business needs.
  • Be able to influence architectural and technical aspects of services and processes. Furthermore, evaluate and identify risks within a given system design or architecture, and propose risk mitigation plans and obtain agreement from risk owners.
  • Coordinate 3rd party service providers when required, including vendor selection and management of deliverables
  • Be a “subject matter expert” in different cybersecurity domains, including familiarity with industry-standard frameworks, and assist the Security Senior Manager in identifying ways to increase the team’s business impact and improve and streamline productivity.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills coupled with strong business acumen and ability to identify and explain present and future needs for proposed security initiatives to senior management.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and influence across the spectrum of internal and external business stakeholders.
  • Create strong partnerships with critical teams in the Booking Holdings group and support formalising and embedding within all brands with key security initiatives.
