Key responsibilities Achieve engineering targets and objectives as defined in the project program, and as directed by line manager. Provide input and be responsible for the production of Project Documentation (Design Reports, Drawings, Programs, Calculations, Bills of materials, Quality Plans, Project Document Management Plans, etc). Monitor and control design costs within budget and liaise with management in relation to any design changes. Adhere to company policies and other applicable laws, regulations and standards for the workplace. Provide mentoring to graduate engineers and design engineers where required. About You RPEQ preferred. Or ability and willingness to becoming RPEQ asap. 4 year degree qualification to Bachelor status in engineering. 3 years+ experience in the industry (in infrastructure, technology, rail or related industries). (Rail industry preferred) Experience with design of CCTV systems (IP based cameras) and Electronic Access Control systems Experience with data rack and comms cabinet design and layout, cabling design, and the ability to create single line diagrams and schematics as per AU standards/state government standards. Understanding of communications networks, fibre optic cabling and fibre optic infrastructure. Preferable: Experience with design of Public Address systems, IP Telephones, and Passenger Information Devices such as LED/LCD information displays. Understanding of Australian, State Government and Queensland Rail standards for Security and Telecommunications equipment. Understanding of relevant electrical safety and standards.
