REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional certifications such as CCNP Security, PCNSE, NSE.
  • Proven work experience as a Security Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
  • Familiarity with web-related technologies and network/web-related protocols.
  • Hands on experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools, such as:

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CCIE Security.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Security Engineer is responsible for safeguarding the organization’s computer networks and systems. They plan and implement security measures to protect sensitive data and systems from infiltration and cyber-attacks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure networking solutions to protect against advanced cyber threats.
  • Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and configure network security systems, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Conduct regular system tests and ensure continuous monitoring of network security.
  • Develop and implement organization-wide best practices for IT security.
  • Respond to network security breaches and assist with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues on network security matters.
  • Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments.
