Role Overview The Security Risk Coordinator is responsible for strengthening the organization’s risk posture through company-wide risk assessments, vendor oversight, supply chain evaluation, KPI reporting, and operational security support. The role requires strong coordination skills, cross-functional collaboration, and consistent monitoring to ensure risks are identified and effectively managed. 2. Key Responsibilities The Security Risk Coordinator will manage the full third-party risk process, including vendor assessments, documentation reviews, and ongoing monitoring. They will ensure vendors meet security requirements, track remediation activities, and maintain accurate vendor risk records. The role includes coordinating internal and external risk assessments across the entire company. The coordinator will maintain the risk register, track mitigation progress, and provide leadership with visibility into major risks and improvement areas. The coordinator will assess supply chain partners for security and operational risks, monitor their risk posture, and work with Procurement and Operations to ensure secure sourcing practices. High-risk findings will be documented and escalated when needed. The role involves defining and tracking KPIs that reflect risk posture, mitigation progress, and operational performance. The Coordinator will build concise dashboards and reports to help leadership understand trends and make informed decisions. The coordinator will handle security-related operational requests, ensuring timely responses and clear communication. They will collaborate with Security, Legal, Procurement, and Engineering to align on risk decisions and improve internal processes. The role supports ongoing security improvement efforts by evaluating existing controls, identifying gaps, and recommending enhancements. The coordinator stays informed on industry trends to help guide proactive risk-reduction initiatives. 3. Key Qualifications & Experience 2–4 years of experience in risk management, vendor management, security governance, compliance, or related operational roles. • Experience conducting internal and external risk assessments across the organization. • Experience performing vendor evaluations and managing third-party risk (TPRM). • Ability to analyze risk data and develop KPIs, dashboards, and risk reports. • Familiarity with supply chain security risks and supplier assessment processes. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. • Ability to collaborate effectively with Security, Legal, Procurement, Operations, and Engineering teams. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail. • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. • Experience beyond 4 years in security risk or vendor management roles is an advantage.
