Description
We are looking for a Security & Risk Manager to lead the hotel’s Security, Risk, Workplace Safety & Health (WSH), and Fire Safety framework. Working closely with the General Manager, Executive Committee, and department leaders, you will ensure strong governance, regulatory compliance, and emergency preparedness, while maintaining a welcoming and people-first environment. A little taste of your day-to-day: Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be: Lead and manage the Security team, including manpower planning, training, performance management, and engagement. Oversee the hotel’s Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) programme, including risk assessments, workplace inspections, investigations, and corrective actions. Lead the hotel’s Fire Safety management, including fire risk assessments, emergency response planning, drills, and coordination with SCDF. Act as the hotel’s key point of contact for WSH and Fire Safety matters, liaising with internal stakeholders and external authorities. Develop, implement, and regularly review security, safety, and emergency SOPs in line with brand standards and statutory requirements. Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and root-cause analysis across all operational areas. Ensure compliance with Singapore regulatory requirements, including Police Licensing, SCDF, Fire Safety Act, MOM, and WSH legislation. Lead crisis management, emergency preparedness, and business continuity planning, including drills and simulations. Oversee CCTV systems, access control, key management, and loss prevention measures. Liaise with external authorities such as SPF, SCDF, MOM, and relevant agencies. Support VIP movements, major events, and higher-risk operations within the hotel. Champion a strong safety-first culture through training, awareness, and collaboration with department leaders. Prepare reports and insights for hotel leadership and owners, highlighting risks, incidents, and improvement opportunities. What We need from you: Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Security, Risk, WSH, and Fire Safety management, preferably within hotels environment. Strong working knowledge of WSH frameworks, fire safety management, emergency response, and incident management. Sound understanding of Singapore laws and regulatory requirements related to security, fire safety, and WSH. Proven leadership experience managing diverse teams. Calm, confident, and decisive, especially during incidents or emergencies. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Relevant certification - Fire Safety Manager will be an advantage.
