JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Security service engineer to join our team here at AD Systems (UK) LTD due to continued growth and expansion. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of CCTV, access control, intruder systems and other related equipment. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Security Engineer within the industry.
  • Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, and intruder (experience with brands like Hikvision, Paxton, Hanwha, Cathexis, Videx, Advanced, etc. is an advantage).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid UK Driving License (or equivalent if outside the UK).
  • Willingness to potentially participate in an on-call rota when required. (Not yet required)
  • Experience in programming and configuring security systems.
  • Certifications such as CSCS Card, IPAF.
  • Previous experience working with networked security solutions
  • Experience with commissioning
Responsibilities
  • Maintain, and repair CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems in commercial properties.
  • Conduct routine servicing of security equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults and failures, providing efficient and effective solutions.
  • Provide technical support and advice to clients on system operation.
  • Work collaboratively with managers, technicians, and other engineers.
  • Complete accurate records of work completed, parts used, and service reports.
  • Conduct regular stock checks on your vehicle ensuring replenishment ready for call outs.
  • Follow health and safety protocols, ensuring all work is carried out in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and new regulations.
