Monitor and address guest compliance with casino regulations, policies, and procedures. Collaborate with other departments to resolve incidents. Our Core Values: Integrity, Communication, Diversity, Accountability, Respect, Teamwork JOB SUMMARY: Manage Security Department operations on the assigned shift, ensuring safety, asset protection, and policy compliance. Supervise and develop Security Team Members while addressing guest incidents, including resolving policy violations, issuing warnings, or barring guests as needed. Collaborate with other department leadership to provide support for escalated guest incidents. Coordinate with Security Management and the Nisqually Tribal Gaming Agency to address alleged criminal or regulatory matters. Assist in implementing security policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment for guests and Team Members. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Required skills and knowledge: High school diploma or GED certificate. 2 years of guest or public service experience, including a demonstrated ability to oversee guest service operations at a supervisory level, including de-escalating disputes, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring service quality under pressure with professionalism and sound judgment. 3 years in first responder, law enforcement, or security roles. Examples may include casinos or gaming security, large entertainment venues, resort or hotel security, corporate security, transit or airport security, hospital or campus security, or similar work. 2 years of casino security experience at a similarly sized property. 3 years of supervisory experience managing teams of 10 or more employees, including a demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, including Team Member development, scheduling and payroll coordination, performance evaluations, and disciplinary procedures. Must have a valid driver’s license and provide a driver’s abstract that must not contain any disqualifying events per the NRWC Safe Driver Policy. Knowledge of security and surveillance systems and safety procedures. Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED student and instructor certifications. Ability to obtain conflict resolution, defensive tactics, and handcuffing student and instructor certifications. Basic math skills. Advanced report writing skills with strong attention to detail, clear organization of multi-part incidents, and the ability to produce accurate, complete, and professional reports for internal and regulatory use. Advanced computer skills, including strong skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel for data analysis, complex documents, and report creation Pass NRWC pre-employment testing, including a typing test at 30 WPM with minimal errors and a basic math assessment. Ability to work any shift including weekends and holidays. Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License. Preferred skills and knowledge: Certification in Red Wind’s “Service First” Program. Casino supervisory experience. Knowledge of Tribal-State Gaming Compacts, Tribal Internal Control Standards, and National Indian Gaming Commission - Minimum Internal Control Standards for Class II gaming, and casino internal controls Table games protection knowledge. Experience with medium to high security locks and keys, such as Medeco, ASSA, Corbin, Etc. Demonstrated ability to manage and develop people Bi-lingual. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat and lift up to 75 lbs. Ability to sit, stand or continuously move for assigned shift. Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computer and routine paperwork. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: Account for lost and found property in accordance with established department procedures. Assume primary supervisory responsibility for designated shift in absence of Security Management. Communicate essential information to Dispatchers and Emergency Personnel while maintaining professional composure and using proper terminology and etiquette. Conducts needs analysis to determine training needs for all direct report positions, and coordinates with the Security Training Supervisor for training and skill development. Cooperates with the regulatory agency in the investigation of criminal/civil violations and incidents. Responds to incidents involving violations of casino policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. Where needed, takes guest action in the form of warnings, refusal of service, barrings, or requests for extended barrings. If applicable, acts and coordinates with various department leadership teams, routing matters for their action. Follow established key control procedures without compromising the security of the casino; to include conducting investigations related to lost or missing keys or prox cards. Greet and monitor the activity of all guests while providing superior guest service. Promoting a safe, friendly environment for guests and Team Members. Identify and report suspicious activity to include but not limited to threats of theft, violence, intoxication and/or drug related activity. Identify, assess and assist sick or injured guests and Team Members prioritizing per triage guidelines, and provide basic first aid care. Maintain a working knowledge of departmental Guest Service Standards and support incorporating these within the casino. Knowledge of the location, operation, and maintenance of emergency equipment that including first aid kits, AED’s fire extinguishers, wheelchairs, etc. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of all emergency equipment. Observe and report security incidents, then complete detailed incident and procedural violation reports. Oversee shift compliance with these procedures as well. Recommend hiring and discipline within the department to the Security Management. Responsible for adherence to safety requirements and Federal OSHA regulations on their designated shift. Responsible for multiple projects and tasks assigned by the Security Management to support the overall operations of the Security department. Responsible for Security shift schedules, performance evaluations, reports, time records, documents and equipment. Working knowledge and skills using the Microsoft Office Suite and technical applications related to physical security. Working knowledge of casino rules, policies, activities, and/or promotions in order to assist with guest inquiries. Working knowledge of the Casino Emergency Preparedness Action Plan and Incident Command Protocol. Act as the Incident Commander in major incidents.
