Security Site Manager / Project Engineer
Location: Waltham Cross
Rate: £350 per day
Contract Duration: 3 to 6 months
Working Pattern: Full-time, 5 days per week on-site
Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Site Manager / Project Engineer with a background in Security systems for a fixed-term project at Waltham Cross. This role is site-based and non-working (management-focused), making it ideal for someone with experience managing installation teams, who is ready to step into a junior PM or site management role.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage the company’s on-site Health & Safety folder
  • Prepare and maintain RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
  • Conduct weekly H&S tasks, including site inductions, plant inspections, and labour returns
  • Contribute to Monthly Progress Reports
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and review the Construction Programme
  • Order and coordinate the delivery of materials in line with the project schedule
  • Address and resolve on-site blockers with clients and subcontractors
  • Provide design input and respond to client technical queries
  • Manage subcontractors to ensure timely access to materials, information, and resources
  • Perform benchmarking and snagging to ensure high standards of installation
  • Attend and document client progress meetings
  • Plan ahead to maintain progress and pre-empt project risks
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and clients to avoid design clashes
  • Maintain all written correspondence to protect the company’s interests
  • Ensure compliance with Company Quality, H&S, and management systems
  • Deliver end-user system training
  • Compile and submit O&M manuals
  • Represent the company professionally at all times
  • Provide general support to the Project Manager as required
  • Perform other tasks as requested by senior management

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing Fire & Security installation teams on construction sites
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification
  • Strong knowledge of Fire Alarm and Security Systems, including relevant British Standards, BAFE, and NSI codes of practice
  • Familiar with relevant system products and specifications
  • Competent in understanding and finalising system designs for smooth project execution and clear client/installer communication

Pay: £300.00-£350.00 per day
