MSS Security is seeking a Security Site Supervisor to lead a team of eight security officers at a prestigious university campus in Melbourne’s north-east. As the on-site leader, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of campus security during your shift, ensuring the safety and protection of students, staff, visitors, and facilities. This is a high-profile role within a professional environment that values leadership, professionalism, and operational excellence.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee daily operations of security across the university campus.
  • Provide on-site leadership, guidance, and support to security officers during shifts.
  • Assist the Contract Manager with administrative and operational tasks as required.
  • Supervise control room activities, ensuring effective monitoring of CCTV, access control, alarms, and campus communications.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies, procedures, and security protocols.
  • Liaise with university staff, emergency services, and stakeholders as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, patrols, and shift activities.
  • Support training and performance of new and existing security staff.

Requirements:

  • Prior supervisory experience within the security industry.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Sound knowledge of control room operations and emergency response.
  • Full Australian working rights.
  • Valid Victorian Security licence with the control room subcategory.
  • Certificate II in Security Operations (or higher).
  • Valid Victorian Drivers licence with no restrictions.
  • Working with children check (or willing to obtain).
  • First Aid and CPR certificates (or willing to obtain).
