How You’ll Make an Impact The Security Specialist is central to maintaining the security of Aptima’s offices, assets and employees in compliance with national security regulations. With your Top-Secret clearance and knowledge of security protocols, including NIPSOM, in this role you’ll perform a variety of tasks including user security requests, reviewing and processing visit requests, and creating accounts in Aptima’s security portal. You’re a strong communicator and critical thinker who’s ready to bring their skills in compliance, access control, and classified information management to one of the nation’s most advanced technological leaders in the national security industry today. Key Responsibilities Support staff in various basic security issues as requested. Maintain all documentation, both electronic and hard copy, pertaining to the security of the office/facility. Ensure that employees are briefed of changes in security conditions at the office/facility. Assist with the preparation and maintenance of a variety of written records and reports. Exercise sound, independent judgment within policy guidelines. Provide general support to the security team and staff as needed. Requirements One year of relevant experience in a similar role. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail- you enjoy dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s. Active TS Clearance. Competent computer skills with a desire to learn various DoD security systems and applications. Experience with Microsoft Office 11, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to competently and effectively complete basic security and administrative tasks in a timely manner. Occasional business travel may be required to locations including but not limited to conferences, other office locations, and/or military sites. Experience as a user in DISS, NISS, and/or NBIS is a plus.
