Position: SECURITY SPECIALIST - ARMED Department: CAMPUS POLICE Status: FULL TIME / 80 HOURS PER PAY PERIOD Shift Hours: 12 HOURS SHIFTS TO INCLUDE DAY OR NIGHTS SHIFT, ALSO WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS Facility: ATRIUM MEDICAL CENTER This position is responsible for the safety and security of patients, visitors, employees and hospital property. Patrols hospital campus and buildings to deter thefts, vandalism and disturbances. Responds to security needs of Atrium Medical Center personnel and emergencies. Provides law enforcement support to Atrium Medical Center campus. Acts as Middletown Special Police Officer, sworn to support the United States, the State of Ohio and the laws of the State of Ohio and the Ordinances of the City of Middletown.ate of Ohio and the Ordinances of the City of Middletown. Education Minimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED Preferred educational qualifications: Associates Degree Licensure/Certification/Registration OPOTA- Required Basic Security Guard Training. Including the state required 20 hours of firearms Training Valid Ohio driver’s license required Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience Knowledge/Skills Computer skills desirable This position requires an individual able to work under pressure with many interruptions while remaining calm and pleasant to the public and facility personnel.
