TITLE:
Security Specialist
KBR is seeking a highly organized and experienced Security Specialist to join our team to support the Army’s Search Track Acquire Radiate Eliminate (STARE) Project Office located on Redstone Arsenal, AL. Serves as a security specialist supporting a government office in security disciplines including Information Security, Industrial Security, Physical Security, Personnel Security, OPSEC, and Foreign Disclosure. Position requires attention to detail, organizational skills, multi-tasking, and the ability to operate in a high-paced, team environment. Requires travel Outside of the Continental United States (OCONUS) and within the Continental United States (CONUS) up to 25%. Tasks included, but are not limited to:
- Develop security plans and procedures for handling, safeguarding, transmission, receipt, and generation of classified information.
- Review security clearance determinations for employees or other persons for access to sensitive information, resources, material, or work sites.
- Support a multi-discipline security program to protect classified information located at all government and contractor facilities involved in the program.
- Support detailed security procedures (SOPs, OPSEC Plans, Treaty Plans, etc.) to be implemented at all locations involved in the program.
- Continuously evaluate and modify security programs as technology matures and progresses through research and development, production and fielding, ensuring continuous protection.
- Training others on security plans, procedures, policies and programs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- U.S. Citizen with active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience as a Security Specialist performing the duties described in this job description.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong knowledge of US Army Security systems and procedures.
- Familiarity with Army, OSD and DoD organizations and staff processes.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Teams and SharePoint.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
