Description
This position operates within the Security Operations Center (SOC) and is cross-trained with a dotted-line operational relationship to the Security Technology Services (STS) team. The SOC Security Specialist serves as the technology systems expert for the tools, platforms, and workflows that power the enterprise SOC. This role ensures alignment between SOC operations, security technology development, and enterprise optimization initiatives. The Specialist is considered a member of the SOC Leadership Team, working alongside the SOC Day Supervisor, SOC Night Supervisor, and reporting directly to the SOC Manager. Although this role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, it holds significant influence through project leadership, workflow development, and cross-departmental coordination. Security Specialists provide security services for the assigned program (e.g., threat assessment/management, intelligence, security technology, executive protection, workplace violence, education and training) or special projects/assignments to all Mayo functions and entities, and to external clients as directed. Security Specialists may also be required to research or revise security-related policies, procedures or standards. **This vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship / we will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position.
