Description
Overview The Security Systems Technician is responsible for the installation and troubleshooting of video surveillance equipment and integrated access control/alarm network equipment. This position requires the ability of the individual to work in all types of environments including confined spaces, at heights requiring ladder and lift work, in limited lighting, and outdoors. This position also requires compliance with gaming regulations and maintaining compliance to company procedures. Responsibilities Knowledge of camera and alarm reporting requirements within AGLC Regulated Casinos Ability to physically mount and hang network devices related as part of the resort system Ability to troubleshoot and correct defective devices as required Maintain appropriate documentation as required by company policy Ensure all devices are mounted in a safe manner not to endanger any persons safety To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace. All other duties as assigned Qualifications At least five years recent experience working as a System Technician on large security system Must have valid Genetec Security Center Technical Certifications Valid DMP Certification required Experience using Assa Abloy system platforms would be an asset Fall Arrest Certificates required Aerial Platform Certificate required CSTS certification required Working knowledge of all camera manufactures and how to upgrade software to common devices LAN/Networking experience as it relates to edge devices Must be able to meet deadlines while under stressful timelines Able to work all shifts including overnights Must be able to pass criminal record checks and AGLC Screening (if required) Must be able to successful complete key personnel with the AGLC (if required) The schedule for this position may vary and would require the ability to work shift work, late nights, weekends and holidays. The Security Systems Technician will be required to be on his/her feet for most of his/her entire shift conducting physically demanding work having manual dexterity to hang/mount all different types of devices.
