About The Team
The Security business unit’s key objective is to protect the University’s physical assets and ensure the safety and wellbeing of its people while delivering a positive campus experience. The Security team plays a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment across the University by managing risks, supporting emergency response, promoting safety awareness, and fostering strong relationships with the University community and external stakeholders—all while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
Your New Role!
Reporting to the Security Supervisor, the Security and Traffic Officer is responsible for the effective interpretation and efficient application of the University’s Parking and Traffic By-Laws within Murdoch’s land boundaries. You will be a key member of the Security Services and Incident Response teams, which require participation in tasks such as general security, responding to emergencies, system administration and logistics.
This position is currently located at the Murdoch campus; however, the incumbent may be required to undertake security service duties at any of the University’s campuses. Working Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:00; the Officer may also be required to work public holidays and/or other hours as required.

This Continuous | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $63,000 – $70,000 plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.
