Job title: Security Training and Awareness Lead
Location: Portsmouth Naval Base- We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Circa £45,000

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the coordination, management, and successful delivery of the annual Physical and Information Security Training Programme, including the development of a robust framework to ensure long-term sustainability
  • Design, develop, and deliver targeted security training materials across all levels of the organisation—from frontline staff to senior management—while implementing a metrics-driven framework to assess the effectiveness and impact of the awareness and training programme
  • Champion security best practices by promoting knowledge sharing and alignment across business units, ensuring consistency and adherence to relevant security standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ITAR, FSC, Crypto, IPSA)

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Essential

  • Job holder requires an in depth understanding of corporate communications and training and delivery in a regulated environment e.g. Nuclear, Financial Services, Defence, Government
  • Understanding of industry standard security policy, standards and best practice guidance
  • Cert Ed or level 5 Training Qualification or relevant experience

Desirable

  • Demonstrates a strong aptitude and commitment to pursuing relevant security qualifications, such as those offered by the Security Institute or the Defence Industry Security Association (DISA
