Description Ball Horticultural Company is seeking a customer-centric candidate to work in the Coating department at Premier Lab. Ball is the largest flower seed breeder/producer and distributor in the world, providing outstanding products, best-in-class customer service, and reliable supply to professional growers around the globe. Responsibilities and Duties Process seed coating within product specifications to provide customers the consistency they expect. Observe and evaluate product quality at multiple stages to provide highest quality. Mix formulations based on recipes to ensure consistent product. Operate both large and small machinery. Troubleshoot to maintain equipment efficiency. Work with the overall team to deliver best-in-class service. Perform all other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization’s values. Adhere to all quality control measures and watch for signs of tampering and contamination. Participate in continuous improvement exercises and adapt to changing needs and requirements. Requirements High school diploma/GED. 1 or more years of experience working with seed preferred but not required, will train. Basic math and computer skills, ability to enter and maintain records in computer system. Pesticide Operator License preferred. We will pay for training to obtain this license. Extra pay incentive upon successfully obtaining license. Excellent verbal and written English skills in order to communicate with internal customers, bilingual capabilities a plus. MS Office experience preferred. Problem solving, attention to detail, organizational skills, teamwork, adaptability, and flexibility to work in multiple areas performing multiple tasks. Productive, high-quality output to meet customer expectations and internal metrics. Adapting approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations. Work directly with other employees inside and outside the department on shared objectives.
