We are currently looking for a committed individual as a Seed Processing Specialist (m/f/d) to join our Business Unit Sugarbeet in the Seed Technology department at KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA. In this varied role, you will be responsible for producing trial samples of a wide variety of crops in accordance with specified work instructions and will actively support the further development of our processes. This exciting position is available immediately, is permanent, and is full-time.

BRING YOUR POTENTIAL TO THE TABLE – THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL IMPRESS US:

  • Successfully completed vocational training in a technical, scientific, or agricultural field
  • Ideally, several years of professional experience in the field of seeds or seed technology
  • Additional qualifications such as a certificate of competence in plant protection are an advantage
  • Strong team and communication skills and openness to new technologies
  • Flexibility, willingness to work in a 3-shift system, and physical resilience
  • Independent and reliable way of working, coupled with high motivation and commitment
  • Very good German skills, English skills are an advantage
Responsibilities
  • Seed processing: Sieving, sorting, calibrating, and, if necessary, polishing seeds (sugar beet, corn, cereals, rapeseed, sunflower)
  • Treatment & coating: Pickling, pelleting, and pre-treatment to ensure the highest seed quality
  • Support with field emergence counts, grading, and trial setups
  • Participation in the testing and introduction of new seed technology methods and processes
  • Active communication & teamwork: Providing ongoing feedback to supervisors on project progress and processes in the field of seed technology
