Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of dental instruments and equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of sterilization processes, medical terminology, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sterilization of dental instruments and equipment following established protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
  • Assist in the preparation of instruments for dental procedures, ensuring all tools are properly cleaned and sterilized.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless workflow and adherence to infection control standards.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks of sterilization supplies and report any shortages or needs.
  • Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic for tracking instrument usage and patient information as needed.
  • Stay updated on best practices in sterilization techniques and participate in ongoing training sessions.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in Dental Assisting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, particularly in the fields of Pediatrics and Orthodontics, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team while also demonstrating initiative in individual tasks.
