Bexson Transport is a fast-paced oilfield trucking company that focuses on hauling frac sand, equipment, cement, compressed natural gas and agricultural products. These products and equipment are delivered into many remote locations all over Alberta and B.C.
We are looking for an individual with a strong knowledge of the oilfield, impeccable interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude to join our highly collaborative team. Our dispatcher is an integral part of operations and must be able to quickly adapt and adjust with the ever-changing scope and dynamic of the oil and gas industry.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to handle stressful situations appropriately using successful problem solving & decision making skills
  • Be properly trained to deal with specific job hazards that may be encountered
  • Possess valid WHMIS, Fatigue Management, HOS Training, CSO, AB/BC First Aid, Fire Extinguisher certificates, etc. (training may be provided by Bexson Transport if any certificates are expired or missing)
  • Willingness to implement and maintain a positive attitude among co-workers and themselves
  • Knowledge of sand placement
  • Oilfield experience
  • Possess and maintain a valid Class 1 driver’s licence (Class 5 licence may be approved pending on experience)

Responsibilities
  • Take calls from service companies and dispatch company drivers, lease-haulers, and light truck transporters to the appropriate locations
  • Create and maintain favourable repertoire with all service and oilfield companies
  • Ensure workers adhere to all local and federal laws, regulations, and legislation
  • Identify fatigue and instruct workers to rest when required
  • Organize efficient sequencing of trucks
  • Ensure trucking permits are pulled and valid before accepting jobs requiring such permits
  • Arrange trucks with shop schedule to guarantee on-time services and mechanical repairs
  • Oversee and adjust incoming tickets
  • Audit and mentor completion of log books
  • Implement, supervise, and participate in the journey management program
  • Act in good faith in the best interest of the company
  • Inform workers of known and/or potential hazards
  • Record any safety or service incidents to management
