JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

As a Segment Product Manager – UK&I Biosciences, your role is to drive a customer and market focused execution of our marketing priorities to help drive sustainable growth for your area of responsibility. This role involves regular customer interaction and collaboration with field-based associates to understand customer needs and behaviors. You will partner closely with BD’s omnichannel marketing resources to enhance product visibility, stimulate demand, and ultimately drive sales.
This role is office based with travel in the field to customers for meetings as per business requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Be an active member of EMEA Marketing Platform (representing the needs of the UK&I organisation and market) working alongside marketing representatives for other EMEA countries and contributing to the development and implementation of European marketing plans and the associated omnichannel marketing campaigns.
  • Work closely with UKI Sales, Applications, and Technical Service teams to incorporate requirements, as well as ensuring successful implementation of associated marketing projects.
  • Support the production of Marketing Communications to support campaigns and local commercial activations, work with the UK BD Creative services teams or external third-party agencies as required, develop tools and processes to measure campaign effectiveness and return on marketing spend.
  • Coordinate and attend workshops, seminars/webinars/conferences/symposiums, and exhibitions.
  • Attend key customer meetings with the Sales/Key Account Managers to provide support, deliver commercial presentations, and gain customer insights.
  • Gather information regarding path-to-purchase, product use/applications, training/upskilling needs, and buying patterns.
  • Participate in ‘voice of the customer’ surveys and in-market focus groups.
  • Gather market intelligence, consolidate and analyse learnings, develop insights that can be used to support market penetration, development and growth of category share.
  • Work with the regional marketing team and associated stakeholders (pricing, supply chain, regulatory, legal) to manage product lists, develop and analyse pricing model and associated comms
  • Remain current with the latest relevant product developments.
  • Assist in dealing with technical product enquiries from customers and internal stakeholders including customer care and sales.
