Do you enjoy helping others? Do you provide 'service with a smile'? In this role you will be responsible for making sure our customers receive fast service at the checkout and that they feel valued. You have a lot of patience and like helping people; it takes a lot to get you flustered and finding a solution to a problem is part of the great service you offer. As this role is based in our Self Service checkout area, it also involves playing an active role in loss prevention to ensure no theft is taking place, ensuring the area is always customer ready (bags stocked, areas tidy), and being mobile to best respond to the needs of the customers and guiding them to the next available checkout. This is a permanent part-time position with the following hours of work: 18 hours Tuesday/Wednesday 5pm-10pm Friday/Saturday 8am-5pm This is one shift pattern Qualifications Ideally you will have; Some experience in retail, hospitality or a customer-facing role - preferable but not essential Excellent Communication Skills A positive, can-do attitude The ability to be on your feet for long periods of time Additional Information There are many benefits that come with working for the largest retailer in New Zealand, including lots of career and development opportunities. Responsibilities

The Self Checkout Team Member is responsible for ensuring customers receive fast service at the checkout and feel valued. This includes loss prevention, maintaining a tidy area, and assisting customers as needed.
