OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team on a self employed basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and joinery, demonstrating the ability to work with various materials on listed building and general renovations. This role involves creating, repairing and installing wooden structures and fixtures, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

SKILLS

• Proven experience as a carpenter or joiner with a strong understanding of joinery techniques.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
• Good physical fitness to handle manual labour tasks associated with the role.

Work Location: In perso

• Assemble,fabricate or repair wooden sash windows to specifications and drawings.
• Perform joinery tasks, including cutting, shaping, and fitting materials.
• Work with hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently.
• Be forward thinking in a problem solving enviroment.
• Carry out a multitude of listed repair work as required for specific projects.
• Assist in roofing projects by constructing frameworks and supports.
• Undertake painting tasks to finish surfaces as needed.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, including decorators and Glazers , to ensure seamless project execution.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
