Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Self-Employed Trade Plate Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting vehicles between various locations on behalf of dealerships, manufacturers, and vehicle logistics companies. As a self-employed contractor, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while delivering high-quality services to our clients.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Full UK driving license with a clean driving record (held for at least 2 years).
  • Previous experience as a trade plate driver or in a similar driving role is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of road networks and efficient route planning.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Physically fit, as the role may involve some light lifting and walking.
  • A professional and responsible attitude toward vehicle handling and customer service.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Own reliable transport to and from job locations.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries.
Responsibilities
  • Transport vehicles safely and securely between locations, ensuring they arrive in the same condition.
  • Drive a variety of vehicles, including cars, vans, and other light commercial vehicles.
  • Ensure that trade plates are properly displayed on vehicles.
  • Maintain accurate records of all journeys, including mileage, vehicle condition, and delivery time.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and transport coordinators.
  • Conduct basic vehicle checks before each journey to ensure safety and roadworthiness.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times.
  • Provide updates and communicate any delays or issues during transport.
  • Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and on time, including delivery confirmation and vehicle inspections.
