SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge of general repair and maintenance tasks.
• Have a friendly and approachable attitude, and have experience of interacting effectively with a wide range of people.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Computing/ IT experience preferred, (training will be given on our systems).
• Hold a full clean Driving license.
• Pro-active,Motivated and enthusiastic. Show willingness to tackle tasks.

JOB PURPOSE:

To maintain the self-storage day to day operations, general handyman work to ensure the site is well maintained and tidy at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strong practical skills.
• Provide good customer service both in person, over the phone and via emails
• Responding promptly to enquiries when covering the office
• Working in conjunction with Self Store Team to ensure all maintenance issues are addressed in a timely manner.
• Self Store Maintenance will include;
  Cleaning: Sweeping warehouse areas, ensure that the facility/ car park is always tidy cleaning windows, office areas etc.

General Repair work; painting, general repairs, DIY, use of tools.

• To comply with Company Health and Safety Policies.
• Key holder/ alarm callouts.
• Manual Handling, moving boxes or items around the site.

The role relies on being able to work independently and efficiently with minimum supervision, so it is important that you are happy to work without supervision.
Be prepared to understand the need for flexibility and be prepared to undertake additional duties in order to maintain the facility.
