Description Position Summary The Senior HVAC Service Technician & Field Sales Lead is a hybrid technical, sales, and leadership role responsible for delivering high-quality residential HVAC service while supporting revenue growth and team development within a newly established Houston, Texas location. This position requires a highly experienced service technician capable of diagnosing and resolving the vast majority of residential HVAC issues, combined with strong consultative sales skills for repairs, system upgrades, and full system replacements. As a green-field role, this individual must be a self-starter with the ability to operate independently, represent the company professionally in a new market, and serve as a foundational leader as the Houston division grows. Key Responsibilities Residential HVAC Service & Diagnostics Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of residential HVAC systems including air conditioners, heat pumps, and furnaces Accurately identify root causes of system failures and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions Perform service calls with a high level of technical competence, efficiency, and professionalism Ensure all work meets company quality standards, manufacturer specifications, and local codes Sales, Repairs, and System Replacement Consulting Serve as a selling technician capable of presenting repair, upgrade, and replacement options directly to homeowners Conduct in-home consultations using good, better, best solution frameworks Identify opportunities for full system replacement based on system age, condition, and performance Build, present, and close estimates for repairs, upgrades, and system replacements Leadership & Houston Market Development Develop into the lead technician for the Houston location, setting standards for quality and professionalism Support onboarding, training, and mentorship of newly hired technicians Provide field-level supervision and technical support to other technicians Act as a liaison between field operations and company leadership Operational Responsibilities Working with Corporate leadership and departmental support (CSR, Dispatch, Residential Changeout department) Manage service routes, schedules, and priorities independently Maintain service vehicles, tools, and inventory (with assistance from corporate warehouse leadership) to company standards Communicate effectively with dispatch, office staff, and leadership Requirements and Qualifications 5+ years of residential HVAC service experience with strong diagnostic capability Ability to work nights and weekends as needed Proven experience selling repairs, upgrades, and system replacements Strong interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated self-starter mentality with leadership aptitude Valid EPA section 608 Certification and applicable HVAC licenses preferred TLDR registration Comfort using CRM systems such as Service Titan Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
