Job Description Job Title: Laboratory Technician Job Type: Permanent Hours: 37.5 per week - Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm Location: Middlesbrough Salary: £23,810 per annum About the Role We are seeking a SEM Laboratory Technician to join our team in Middlesbrough. This role involves the preparation, analysis, and reporting of samples for asbestos using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). You will play a key part in ensuring accurate identification and reporting in line with strict quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Interpret job card instructions accurately, including scope of works and contract reviews. Process samples and produce final reports in a timely manner following established procedures. Cooperate with the QC department and complete required audit schedules. Skills & Knowledge Essential: Strong communication skills. Attention to detail Basic chemistry Basic IT skills Desirable: Knowledge of asbestos-containing materials in buildings.
