MARKETING CONTROLLING ANALYST (TEMP)

Are you an experienced business analyst with experience from a marketing/retail environment who is looking to build up your skill set and take the next step in your career?
We are looking for a Business Analyst for an global fashion brand based in Amsterdam. You will play a crucial role on the Marketing Controlling team to help drive consumer impact. This is an assignment for 6 months.

REQUIREMENTS: MARKETING CONTROLLING ANALYST (TEMP)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Finance, Financial Systems or a related area (business controlling / FP&A experience preferred);
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract insights from complex data sets and develop data-driven recommendations;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Proven track record in delivering high-quality business analysis deliverables on time and within scope;
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Additional languages are a plus.
Responsibilities

The Marketing Controlling team drives consumer impact through a strong understanding of the financial viability and profitability of our marketing decisions, as well as drive target setting and tracking of performance measurements.

The Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial close for his/her assigned marketing teams through monthly journals and OpEx tracking;
  • Lead monthly and annual budgeting process for assigned marketing teams;
  • Lead OpEx meetings reviewing various teams’ budgets, challenging and partnering with stakeholders;
  • Drive transparency on cost drivers of assigned teams by supervising budget process and forecast, reporting actual costs, explaining cost deviations, and identifying savings potential as part of cost saving initiatives;
  • Pro-actively support, advise and manage stakeholders (budget holders, shared services center, controlling, financial reporting).
