Do you have the resilience, compassion, and drive to support young people who have faced barriers to their education? Are you an experienced Teacher who thrives in a challenging but highly rewarding environment?
Parker Smith Inclusion is working with a specialist secondary provision in Outer London supporting students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), many of whom have experienced trauma, adverse childhood experiences, anxiety, dysregulation, and behavioural challenges. We are seeking a committed and passionate SEMH Teacher for a full-time, long-term role starting ASAP until July 2026.

Responsibilities

As an SEMH Teacher, your focus will be on building trust, stability, and meaningful progress — both academic and personal. You will:

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Create a calm, consistent, and emotionally safe classroom environment
  • De-escalate challenging behaviours using restorative and relational approaches
  • Work closely with a skilled team of TAs, mentors, and pastoral staff
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, and outside agencies
  • Implement strategies that support emotional regulation, resilience, and re-engagement with learning
