About the Opportunity:
The main aim of the role is to work as part of a team on a large test rig facility in one of our buildings in Warrington. This could also lead to assisting in the manufacture, installation, commissioning and decommissioning of various other test rigs for internal and external clients. The applicant must have a good understanding of working to set method statements and risk assessments and have a keen eye on their own H&S and that of others around them. Working from written and verbal instructions and follow company H&S and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Promote the H&S and quality processes and ensure they are followed.
• Aim to achieve end goals set by the test facility lead or manufacturing co-ordinator.
• Ensuring targets are met and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
• Lead by example in areas of quality and health & safety.
• Promote Client standards including H&S, quality and the 5S standard within the workshop and lab facilities.

Qualifications

• Requires a good all-round knowledge of engineering type skills and be able to use a wide range of hand tools.
• Undergone some forms of formal training.
• Have good communication skills.
• Ideally worked in an engineering type environment previously.
• Preferably be qualified in the use of counterbalance forklift trucks.
• Previous experience of working with overhead cranes.
• The role will require working at height and some experience of this is preferred. Additional training will be given if required.
