OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, particularly those with autism and other disabilities. This role is essential in providing support to students in their learning environment, ensuring they receive the guidance and encouragement they need to thrive.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs or disabilities, is highly desirable.
  • A background in teaching or educational support is advantageous.
  • Experience in toddler care will be considered a plus.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programmes for children with special educational needs.
  • Support students with autism and other disabilities in their daily activities, promoting independence and self-confidence.
  • Foster a positive learning environment through effective communication and engagement with students.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
  • Provide care and support for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being during activities.
  • Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student development and any concerns that may arise.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to special education and working with children with disabilities.
