We’re teaming up with some incredible Primary and Secondary schools in the Wakefield area, and they’re searching for passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants, just like you!
The schools have full-time (5 days a week) positions offering a truly rewarding opportunity to transform the lives of students with special educational needs.
While experience with diverse needs is a plus, your enthusiasm and dedication to going the extra mile are what truly matter.
These schools are exceptionally supportive, offering fantastic training and real pathways for career growth. Plus, the pay is competitive (£94.50-£110 per day).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN.
  • Assist in delivering lessons, adapting materials to suit individual learning needs.
  • Support students with behavioural management and emotional regulation.
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Help create a nurturing and structured learning environment.
Responsibilities

THE IDEAL SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT FOR THIS ROLE SHOULD:

  • Have experience, or a passion for working with students with additional needs, especially Autism.
  • Have knowledge or understanding of how to support children with SEN and SEMH
  • Be flexible, proactive and patient
  • Be nurturing in their approaching and interventions
  • Be able to communicate effectively within a team
  • Have a Background in Education, Care, Social work, Psychology or Drama, as these are very transferable.
