Job Description Purpose of Role We are seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and highly committed individual to take on the role of both SEN Teacher . This role involves supporting the strategic development of the school’s Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision and overseeing its day-to-day implementation. The goal is to ensure that students with special needs are supported in meeting their individual learning goals and developmental requirements. Provide one-to-one or small group support to SEN students. Student Care Support students with personal, social, or physical needs (e.g., mobility, communication, self-care). Encourage independence and confidence in learning. Behaviour & Engagement Help manage classroom behaviour using positive reinforcement. Motivate and engage students during lessons. Preparation & Resources Prepare learning materials, teaching aids, and resources as directed by the teacher. Assist in adapting materials for SEN students. Monitoring & Feedback Observe and report students’ progress, challenges, and behaviour to the SEN teacher. Contribute to the development of IEPs by sharing observations. Teamwork Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff. Participate in training and development sessions. Line management SEN Teacher will report to the Head of Primary . Qualifications and Experience Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education and specialization or certification in Special Needs Education Experience and Skills: Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience, with at least 2 years working directly in Special Educational Needs or Inclusive Education.
