Our New Options Autism School – Orchards Manor School is proposed to open in September 2025 and will have capacity for 72 pupils ages 4-16 years with a variety of complex needs including ASC.
For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. We’re looking for an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to join our growing team at Orchards Manor School, a brand-new New Options Autism School located near Downham Market.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an SEN Teacher, you’ll play a key role in shaping a high-quality, personalised learning journey for every student. You will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with each student’s individual learning profile, supported by a team of Learning Support Assistants, Tutors, and Therapists.
This is a hands-on teaching role with a strong emphasis on emotional intelligence, creativity, and multi-disciplinary collaboration. You will be supported by the Headteacher and work closely with education and care colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for each learner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons to individuals and small groups, in line with our curriculum and school policies
  • Monitor and report on student progress through assessments and personalised learning plans
  • Develop and review IEPs, IBPs, and other individualised support documents with input from the wider team
  • Coordinate teaching, assessment, and reporting across key stages
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment that supports learning, independence, and engagement
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, support staff, and the senior leadership team
  • Ensure student safety at all times, including during off-site activities
  • Provide clear guidance and direction to Learning Support Assistants and other staff members
