Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher with QTS with a drive to make a difference in the lives of children with ASD, MLD, and SLD? A welcoming and supportive special school in Uxbridge is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team and lead a class of SEN pupils.
This is a full-time position, starting in Septemeber, and offers the opportunity to work in a purpose-built environment tailored to meet the needs of children with moderate and severe learning difficulties, as well as autism spectrum conditions.

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE AS AN SEN TEACHER IN UXBRIDGE

As a skilled SEN Teacher, you’ll be responsible for delivering a bespoke, multi-sensory curriculum to a small class of pupils aged 6-11. Your class will include children with a range of needs, primarily Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).

You will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual EHCPs.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment.
  • Lead a team of experienced support staff (including TAs and therapists).
  • Collaborate with SENCOs, external therapists, and parents to ensure a holistic support plan.
  • Use strategies such as visual timetables, sensory breaks, and alternative communication methods (PECS, Makaton, etc.).
