Humly is working in partnership with a primary school in Blackpool to recruit an experienced SEN Teacher to join their in-house specialist provision from September 2025.
This is a full-time, long-term role supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in a dedicated setting within the school. The school is looking for a confident teacher with proven SEN classroom experience who can deliver tailored teaching in a structured, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
This role is suitable for teachers paid up to M5; unfortunately, applications from ECTs or those without SEN teaching experience will not be considered.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons for pupils with a range of additional needs
  • Creating a structured, safe, and engaging classroom environment tailored to individual EHCPs
  • Working closely with teaching assistants and wider school staff to support pupil progress and wellbeing
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies and promoting emotional regulation
  • Collaborating with external professionals and parents to ensure consistency in support
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to review meetings for pupils’ progress and EHCPs

What You’ll Bring

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching pupils with special educational needs in a school setting
  • Strong understanding of strategies for supporting pupils with diverse SEN needs
  • A nurturing, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching and behaviour management
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply) and two suitable references
