Description

SEN TEACHER (FURTHER EDUCATION)

Blackpool – Temporary to Permanent – September Start
Vision for Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join one of our specialist college settings in the Blackpool area. This rewarding role is ideal for a confident teacher with experience working with young people with complex and profound needs, and a desire to lead a supportive, skilled team.

ABOUT US

We are a market-leading education supply agency committed to the development of young people. With branches across the country, we are an employer of choice for high quality educators.
We’re part of The Edwin Group, an education alliance here to do good and are proud to be named in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Places to Work in the UK 2025.
We do not discriminate on the grounds of age, gender, race, colour, religion, disability or sexual orientation, and we welcome applications from all sections of the community.

Responsibilities

This is a full-time SEN Teaching post working with learners aged 16–25 who have a wide range of complex learning difficulties, including profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). Many of the students are non-verbal, so a working knowledge of signing or Makaton would be highly beneficial.
You will be responsible for leading a small class group with the support of a team of Learning Support Assistants. The successful candidate will be confident in directing and managing staff within the classroom, ensuring that students receive the highest level of support and engagement.
Strong communication skills, creativity, and patience are essential for this role, alongside a commitment to inclusive education. This is a temporary to permanent vacancy, starting in September 2025.
